The Sportsman

Job description

We have vacancies for a receptionist to join our team at our Sportsman casino.

Operating potentially across a 24/7 shift pattern, likely to be full time requirement we would welcome applications from anyone wanting to move into a reception role, or who has any prior experience of reception duties, particularly from hospitality and leisure backgrounds.

There is no prerequisite for having worked on a casino reception before, although that would put you in good standing and you would be already used to working the shift patterns that span a 24/7 business. However, if you have worked in a service environment, with direct customer contact and interaction then you are probably the type of person we are keen to hear from.

Being able to work as part of a team, but also at times on your own, you must be confident, organised, detail conscious and professional.

You may find yourself working alone during quiet day time shifts where you will support the entire venue with basic administration tasks and data handling/processing whilst on busier evening, and weekend shifts find yourself juggling many priorities, high customer volumes passing through the doors all whilst constantly maintaining a smile, a professional attitude and ensuring our customers arrivals and departures from the venue are timely, polished and memorable.

And in between all that...answering the phones as soon as they ring and getting that coat and bag for a waiting customer.

Using a computer, telephone switchboard, and various database/software packages would underpin your duties every shift.

Up for the challenge?

Annual salary range of £18,709 for entry level up to £22,595 depending on experience.
